Strong & Passionate Leadership
I’m Jackie Cutlip—a Worcester County parent, business owner, and someone who has been actively involved in our school system since 2013. I’m a proud mom of three amazing daughters—one who recently graduated from SDHS and two who are still in Worcester County Public Schools. That means I’m connected to our schools every single day. I’m seeing what’s working, what’s not, and what our students, teachers, and families are actually experiencing right now. I believe that perspective matters, and I believe our Board benefits from having members who are truly connected to today’s classrooms with children in our schools!
Over the years, I’ve taken on hands-on leadership roles within our schools. I served as PTA President at both Showell Elementary and Berlin Intermediate School, working closely with parents, teachers, and administration to support our schools in meaningful ways. I also served on the SIAC committee for the new Showell Elementary School, was selected to be a part of the School Safety Advisory Committee, and was nominated to participate in both of the last two Superintendent Selection Processes. I have also volunteered to head up numerous fundraisers over the years to benefit local families in need, because I truly love helping people! Through this involvement, I’ve gained a strong, well-rounded understanding of the daily workings of our schools on many levels, and I’ve built trusted relationships with teachers and staff who know they can speak open and honestly with me in confidence.
I am running to keep my current seat because I truly care deeply about our schools and the people in them. I’m passionate, I’m honest, and I’m not afraid to speak up or ask tough questions when something doesn’t feel right. I believe in doing what is right for students, supporting our teachers, and making decisions with transparency and integrity. I want to continue serving with that same focus—showing up, staying connected, and always putting students first.
